The Coordinator of Student Recruitment will be responsible for overseeing the student recruitment process. This position will develop strategies to promote enrollment of students and will serve as a resource person for applicants, their parents, and high school counselors. Additional Department Summary: The position reports directly to the Director of Admissions for Enrollment Management and works closely with the Assistant Directors of Receptions and Scholarships. The position works with the staff responsible for recruiting receptions and counselor briefings to develop and manage an on-boarding and training program for presenters and student presenters, to plan future events, and work the events when scheduled to do so. This includes serving as the liaison with the colleges and other departments that provide presenters and campus partners for the recruiting events. This position will develop, implement, and manage an instant decision program to be added to the recruiting reception model for in-state receptions as part of UA’s commitment to in-state students allowing students to be admitted on site at in-state receptions. This includes reviewing transcripts and test scores to make a decision on placing a student in one of the three admission categories or denying admission and advising students on alternative routes for admission such as starting at a community college. During the spring, this position will also work with the Assistant Director of Admissions for scholarships to advise and counsel students and their parents on the various scholarships, the requirements, and make decisions on eligibility. This position is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising student recruitment team members for tele-counseling program. These students will be working the phone bank, and are the first point of contact for admissions and scholarship related phone calls during regular office hours. In addition, these student recruitment team members will be utilized several evenings each semester to call admitted and prospective students for targeted calling campaigns. Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years of work experience in college admissions, student recruitment, public relations, marketing, sales, or other relevant field; or Master's degree. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid US driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. Skills and Knowledge: Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 33675.24 Midpoint - $ 49171.20 Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation. A prior conviction reported as a result of the background investigation DOES NOT automatically disqualify a candidate from consideration for this position. A candidate with a prior conviction will receive an individualized review of the prior conviction before a hiring decision is made.
