The Post Doctoral Fellow will *Begin building an active program research, data analysis, analysis reports, and publication record *Help with program evaluation work *Meet with postdoctoral fellowship advisor regularly *Collaborate in further development and evaluation of NSF programs in program evaluation and school improvement *Continue to develop program evaluation methodological skills for mixed methods approaches *Other duties as assigned The University of Alabama, College of Education seeks an innovative individual for a non-tenure earning Post Doctoral position to become part of the Science Education area (Office of Research on Teaching in the Disciplines- ORTD ) research group in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The position is available from 10/15/18-9/30/18. After the initial one year appointment the position is renewable for a second year pending availability of funding from multiple grants through the Science Education Area ( ORTD ). *Earned doctorate in Educational Research, or Curriculum and Instruction (Science Education). *Experienced working in secondary science teacher research, data collection, and data analysis. *Completion of a research dissertation or pending graduation status. *Demonstrated emerging program research agenda in secondary science teacher research, data collection, and data analysis with strong beginning evidence of scholarly activity related to building the body of evidence-based practices in education. *Interest in submitting manuscripts for publication in a scholarly, peer- reviewed journal, as a collaborative group. *Participation in grant writing. *Organizing and providing professional development (ie, inservice training) *Experienced with SPSS or related statistical software. *Trained and experienced in mixed methods evaluations.
