Midsized law firm is seekingan experiencedtax attorneywith 2-5 years’ experience, particularly in estate planning and federal tax disputes.
The tax practice focuses on local, state and federal tax disputes, business planning, estate planning, tax exemption, and transactional work.
This position requires the ability to work closely with individuals, business clients, as well as outside advisors and CPAs.
The position demands excellent writing and communication skills, as well as business judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced environment.
Local, state, and federal tax disputes.
Creation of business entities;
Drafting and revising business contracts;
Advising clients regarding corporate governance issues;
Tax planning and business succession planning;
State and federal tax exempt issues; and
J.D. from an accredited law school;Member in good standing of the AlabamaState Bar; Broad knowledge of corporate/business matters concerning closely held private companies.
Minimum 2-5 years of estate planning and federal tax disputes experience preferred.
LL.M. in Taxation required.
Ability to interact comfortably with clients; Strong drafting skills; Highly team-oriented.
Commitment to professionalism; Flexibility as to the types of projects assigned; Solid business acumen required.
Ability to manage complex business transactions.
