Medical Oncologist Hematologist Oncologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and planning treatment for cancers. Hematologists study, diagnose, and treat diseases related to the blood. During humanitarian missions, contingency operations and peacetime, Army Medical Corps Officers conserve the US Army's fighting strength by providing the highest quality health care to Soldiers, family members, retirees and other eligible beneficiaries.
